Each table of eight (book a whole table or join other individual bookings and make friends!) gets a bottle of unmarked white wine to taste and enjoy. On the stage are three wine ‘experts’. Each gives an opinion on the wine. Two are fibbing, one is telling the truth. Your job is to guess the right answer then the price of the wine. This process is then repeated with three more bottles of white and four bottles of red plus the same guessing game on cheeses between each wine.
There are prizes for the winning team and it’s a hugely enjoyable evening to take your friends to.
Tickets are £20 each or £160 per table. It will sell out so contact David Wort on 01937 573082 or
Each year the Parish Council plans two walks around its area to ‘beat the bounds’ or demonstrate that each footpath is used. We run tow village walks – one long, one short.
This year the long walk is scheduled to leave from outside St Mary Magdalene Church on Moor Lane at 7pm Tuesday 11th August. Everyone is welcome on this socially distanced walk which taks in the river meadows and takes around an hour and a half. It’s a good opportunity to learn this attractive walk if you dont know it and to meet some other villagers. You dont have to book, just turn up wearing suitable footwear.
