Methodist Church
East Keswick Methodist Church was built in 1891 “To The Glory of God” and in memory of Joseph Laurence whose academy trained young men for the Methodist Ministry to work all over the world, preaching in many countries, notably Newfoundland.

Facilities
Following a major re-development of the premises in 2003 we are now able to provide modern up to date facilities for a variety of events and occasions.
The Church has seating for 150 with full access for those with disabilities.. A public address and “loop” system for the hard of hearing is provided in the sanctuary. To aid worship we have available, a Flip Chart, the Methodist Worship Book, Hymns & Psalms, Songs of Fellowship, the Good News Bible and the provision for Holy Communion.
The meeting rooms to the rear of the premises provide modern, flexible accommodation, in keeping with the style and tradition of the building, We can accommodate meetings for 2 - 3 people or up to 50 people. The premises consist of a vestry for small group meetings of up to 6, and an “L” shaped room that can accommodate up to 50 people. This can be divided, with a modern acoustic resistant screen, into a meeting room for up to 15 and a hall for 35.
There are wc's for Male and Female and a separate one with access for those with disabilities incorporating baby changing facilities. The whole of the rear of the premises is covered by a “loop” system for those with hearing difficulties. The meeting rooms kitchen and toilets are covered by a modern fire alarm system.
A modern fully - equipped kitchen is available to make tea or coffee, or to provide a full 3 course meal. An electronically controlled shutter enables refreshments to be served directly to the main hall.
There is car-parking provision in the grounds for 7 vehicles, including a specially designated area adjacent to the access ramp for those with disabilities. The rear of the premises is landscaped with a raised patio area accessible from the main hall, providing a useful additional area - weather permitting.
