Each year the Parish Council plans two walks around its area to ‘beat the bounds’ or demonstrate that each footpath is used. We run tow village walks – one long, one short.
This year the long walk is scheduled to leave from outside St Mary Magdalene Church on Moor Lane at 7pm Tuesday 11th August. Everyone is welcome on this socially distanced walk which taks in the river meadows and takes around an hour and a half. It’s a good opportunity to learn this attractive walk if you dont know it and to meet some other villagers. You dont have to book, just turn up wearing suitable footwear.
Enjoy an evening networking with villagers as we take our annual stroll on village footpaths around our borders and taking in the river meadows. Everyone is welcome, just turn up but please have appropriate clothes and footwear for the day
20th AGM followed by a talk on What’s in a name? Stories behind Stourton
Fun morning including quiz, treasure hunt, refreshments and apple treats
Soup bread roll and pudding
