Parking problems in the village

Some villagers have reported a number of minor parking problems to the Parish Council which were discussed recently. All can be easily rectified with a little consideration and goodwill all round.

The first is parking on pavements. Motorists are inclined to do this where roads narrow but it creates a real problem for villagers with mobility issues, pushchairs and buggies.

The second is parking close to junctions whih inhibit commercial vehicles turning to access narrow side streets. It occasionally results in bin collections being missed.

Villagers are able to park on the nearest public road even if they don’t live on that road. Sometimes that can seem annoying but in a village of narrow streets it becomes inevitable.
