Major village road closure brought forward

The closure of Main Street planned for week commencing 31 March has been brought forward to week commencing February 17.

This is due to the problem (leaking sewage) and also to mitigate issues with local schools by timing the works to half term week.

The closure will affect Main Street between Moor Lane and Lumby Lane junctions which will also mean that buses will not be able to pass through the village causing a diversion of X99 buses all the way between Collingham and Bardsey Bank Top, so no X99 or 923 to Keswick Lane in Bardsey or Harewood Road in Collingham either.

The Parish Council has asked for a shuttle bus to be provided. If that happens we’ll update you.
