Church launches fundraising drive with special weekend
The Anglican parish of Bardsey with East Keswick is aiming to fundraise £30k with a special weekend of activities at the end of April. The parish doesn’t receive any income from the Church of England and its only regular income is from hires at Callister Hall in Bardsey. Over the past year it has had to face heating bills of £2k a month, a serious gas leak and other building costs, and is expected to pay around £80k into a common fund to support local churches, clergy and training.
Fundraising activities planned include;
Fri 26 Apr. 2.30pm Tea and cakes in Bardsey Village Hall
Sat 27 Apr 12.30pm Family forage with hot dog lunch starting at St Mary Magdalene, East Keswick.
Sun 28 Apr 10.30am Bishop Arun at joint Parish Service at All Hallows, Bardsey with soup lunch following.
Sun 28 Apr 7pm Evening concert at St Mary Magdalene, A Music Box of Delights £12
