Update on School Lane land sale

An update on the land sale at School Lane.

As Parish Council we promised to keep you informed on the land for sale at the end of School Lane and our interest in buying it on behalf of the community.

The land was being offered in two lots: a smaller lot of approx 2 acres behind the Village Hall and a larger lot of some 13 acres.

The Parish Council agreed to make an offer for the larger plot but not to compete against the Village Hall for the smaller lot which they were interested in due to its proximity to the hall.

Our plans for the larger plot were to consult the community but ideas included a cricket pitch, footpath/cycle route to Bardsey, allotments etc.

We have been advised that the larger plot has been withdrawn from sale. In other words no one has bought it and it will remain in its present use as grazing land.
