Two new Parish Councillors

East Keswick Parish Council has two new Parish Councillors following the resignation of John Eaton and Gemma Plowright due to work commitments.

The Parish Council advertised the vacancies on the website and social media and two excellent candidates came forward. They are William Ballman of Church Drive and Donna Harrison of South Bank.

Andrew Batty, Chairman of East Keswick Parish Council said “We’re really sorry to lose John and Gemma who have both contributed so much to the Parish Council and village affairs over the past years, but both have heavy work commitments and we understand how that impacts on their available spare time and family life. Both have offered their support on future projects where they can and we really appreciate that.

“We’re also so lucky to have such a proactive community that we were able to fill two positions so quickly with two new outstanding candidates. William and Donna are already making a valuable contribution to Parish Council activities.

“The Parish Council consists of seven unpaid independent councillors. We’re again at full strength with a very effective team working hard to keep our village special.
