Parish Council vacancy
John Eaton has announced he is standing down from the Parish Council due to work commitments. At the November meeting councillors recorded their thanks for his contribution over the time he’s been on the council and hoped he might be persuaded back on some time in the future.
Consequently there is a vacancy to fill on the Parish Council and anyone who would be interested or like further information is asked to email clerk@eastkeswick.org.uk or chairman@eastkeswick.org.uk or any Parish Councillor.
The following is the formal announcement of the vacancy that the Parish Council is obliged to publicise:
EAST KESWICK PARISH COUNCIL
NOTICE OF VACANCY
Notice is hereby given that a casual vacancy has arisen in the office of Councillor for East Keswick
Parish Town Council.
In accordance with Section 89(3) of the Local Government Act 1972, where the
vacancy occurs within six months before the day on which the Councillor whose
office is vacant would regularly have retired, an election shall not be held under
Section 89(1) of the above Act, and the vacancy will be filled at the next ordinary
election of councillors on 4 May 2023.
The Parish Council may choose to fill the vacancy for the period until that election.
Kelly Martin, Parish Clerk
East Keswick Parish Council
