News from the vicarage on services, private prayer, weddings and the future of the Parish magazine

News from the vicarage that the Anglican church (St Mary Magdelene on Moor Lane) is currently open for private prayer on Wednesdays (2-3pm) and Sundays (10-11am). From 13th September, services resume. The shape of those services is dependent on how many people want to go to church, so they will be creating a booking system and reorganise services to ensure people can attend a service safely. Social distancing will apply and facemasks are mandatory in church from 8th August.
Weddings, funerals and baptisms can take place in church, although there is a maximum of 30 people (including the Vicar) for each of those services, with social distancing rules applying. The first wedding is at St Mary Magdalene on Saturday 8th.
They have also revamped the Parish Magazine and taken it online – with a new look. You can see it at https://www.bardseyekparish.com
