Local pubs join govt Eat out to help out initiative

Two local pubs have signed up to the government ‘Eat in to help out’ initiative. If you’re not conversant with it then it works like this. Take a meal in their restaurant (it does not apply to takeouts) on a Monday Tuesday or Wednesday in August and get a discount of up to half the cost (or £10 maximum). This applies lunch or evening. You can come back to do both. The discount is per person. It does not apply to alcohol but does apply to soft drinks.
The two local pubs are our own Duke of Wellington and Bardsey’s Bingley Arms. So well done to both.
This is an excellent initiative to get confidence back in eating out. Remember that all pubs have reduced seating a little for social distancing so it’s wise to book first.
It makes a three course meal at the Duke on their 4-9-4 menu just £8.50! What’s not to like!
