Beer Festival was another winner

The fourth annual East Keswick Beer Festival in the new style was a huge success again. The event ran all day on Saturday 28th September and featured something for all the family.

Children’s entertainment during the afternoon included a bouncy castle, face painting, glitter eyes and free self-serve cordial. Author Fran Grant read her gruesome stories and children were also entertained by a colouring competition, a circus school and magic show.

Grown ups were treated to a whole programme of live music throughout the afternoon and evening.  Apart from 30+ real ales there were also gins, prosecco, wine, lagers, ciders and soft drinks plus pizza, burgers and hot dogs to purchase too.

The whole event is to raise money for worthwhile causes. The Prosecco bar raises money for Bardsey School PTA and charities include Leeds Mind but the main charity is Parkinson’s. You can find out more about this condition and a new way to help those suffering from Parkinson’s Disease here

Early indications are that around six thousand pounds was raised for worthy causes.
