Pavement parking causes problems and enforcement urged
Some villagers have urged the Parish Council to remind residents about pavement parking problems. In a village with narrow footpaths there is a tendency for some motorists to park half on and half off pavements but this creates real problems for pedestrians with mobility problems and those pushing buggies say objectors.
Some motorists think they help traffic flow by parking half off the pavement but parking entirely on the road helps as a traffic calming method so is preferred. Parking enforcement have said they will leaflet cars badly parked and whilst reluctant to issue fines they would ticket repeat offenders
