Parish Councillor resigns – new vacancy occurs

Chantal Platt, one of the seven volunteer councillors on East Keswick Parish Council resigned shortly before the September meeting. In her resignation email she said she very much enjoyed the role but felt that with two young children at home it was difficult to give the role the time and dedication it requires.

Andrew Batty, Chairman, thanked her on behalf of the Parish Council and expressed a wish that she might be persuaded back on board in the future.

The resignation makes a vacancy on the Parish Council. Where a vacancy occurs between elections the Parish Council has the authority to co-opt (or appoint) someone to the post. If you might be interested in the post or simply seek further information please email or speak to any of the present Parish Councillors.
