Plans for new home behind Duke rejected

Plans to build a new three-storey four-bedroomed house behind the Duke of Wellington Inn have been rejected. Last year plans to build a property were opposed by the Parish Council and rejected by Leeds planners. By November the developer had lodged an appeal as well as submitted a revised plan reducing the size to three bedrooms and the overall footprint by 16%.

That revised application and the appeal against the original application both failed after further opposition by nearby residents and the Parish Council.
