New Parish Councillor appointed

East Keswick Parish Council has a new councillor. She is Alison Waterfield of Church Drive who replaces Councillor Neil Ogden who stood down in April. Alison has lived in the village for nearly twenty years and had three children here. She and her husband, Geoff, will be well known to many. Over those years she has been active in various groups from NCT to playgroup and badminton. Outside the village she has been involved in the Scout/Guide movement and school PTA.

Councillors unanimously decided to co-opt her onto the Parish Council at the June meeting using powers they have to appoint a person between council elections.

Andrew Batty, Chairman of East Keswick Parish Council said ‘we’re delighted to welcome Alison onto the council. She brings with her a substantial amount of valuable experience and will further strengthen our team.
