New development put forward for Church Drive
A new planning application has been put forward by developers for the land between 11 and 37 Church Drive. The site, which is opposite the turning circle near the top of Church Drive was sold by Leeds City Council’s arms length housing association when it reviewed ‘surplus land’ in its ownership. It was sold with outline planning permission for two bungalows. The buyer of the land then submitted a planning application for four houses which was opposed by the Parish Council and rejected by Leeds planners as an overuse of the site. A revised application for three homes met similar strong opposition and was also rejected.
The new application is for two four-bedroom detached houses each with a separate single garage. The application goes before the Parish Council at its September meeting and before Leeds planners shortly after.
