Crime Prevention Panel seeks more members

The Outer North Leeds Crime Prevention Panel is seeking more members. The group, which covers all villages from Harewood to Barwick in Elmet, assists and supports the Police. Its aims are to encourage the general public to be more vigilant and take simple precautions to solve crime such as leaving their homes secure whilst out shopping or dog walking and locking cars.

It distributes purse/wallet security lanyards, offers personal alarms, supplies stickers and leaflets and gives advice on door locks and garden shed alarms. Meetings are held every two months, usually on the second Thursday evenings at Wetherby Police Station. For further information please email
