Tour de Yorkshire coming to East Keswick
The UK’s most prestigious cycle race, created as a legacy to Yorkshire’s appearance in the Tour de France, is going through East Keswick in 2016. Stage 2 of the event will start in Otley on Saturday 30th April 2016 following the A659 through Arthington to Harewood, along Harewood Avenue, then down Lumby Lane, Main Street and through the village. It will then leave the village past the Duke of Wellington and follow Keswick Lane on to East Rigton and Thorner on its way to Doncaster.
The women’s race is expected through at around 1025 and the men shortly before 1400. Police will operate a rolling roadblock so there will be no long term road closures
