Parish Council elects new Chairman and Deputy Chairman
At the October Parish Council meeting Andrew Batty was elected Chairman and Judith Pentith elected as Vice Chairman. The changes were as a result of Gaynor Anning, the previous Chairman, resigning from the Parish Council last month.
Andy was previously Vice Chairman and had been Acting Chairman over the past few weeks. He is married with three teenagers and has lived in Keswick Grange in the village for the past twenty years, and was first elected to the Parish Council in 2001. When not wearing a Parish Council hat Andy runs a marketing communications agency in Leeds.
Judith Pentith is a long standing Parish Councillor and very active with the Methodist Church in the village.
As a result of these changes there is a vacancy on the Parish Council and councillors can use their powers between elections to co-opt – or appoint – a person. Anyone interested should contact the Parish Clerk, June Gallant on 01937 573365 or email email@example.com before the deadline of 5pm November 17th
