Beaver Group needs a new leader to avoid closure
Added 16 June
The 1st Bardsey Beaver Pack, which comprises of 6 to 8 year olds from East Keswick and Bardsey is in imminent danger of closure unless a new leader or leaders can be found quickly. The group meets weekly in term time at the dedicated Scout building at the top of Rigton Bank.
Being a Beaver Leader is a great introduction to Scouting and would ideally suit a parent or parents of present Beavers or of a child about to join. You wouldn’t be on your own as you would be supported by the Beaver assistants, group Chairman, Secretary and of course, parents. The role would suit anyone between 18 and 65 who can spare a few hours each week to run the pack and who might enjoy the fun and adventure that the Scouting movement can bring.
The group also features a strong Cub pack and a new Scout pack will begin in September but beavers are needed to feed through to these groups.
