Parish Council election to be contested

Eight people are chasing seven places on East Keswick Parish Council which means an election is being held on Thursday 7 May, the same date as the UK General Election.

Voters going to the polling station at the Village Hall will be given two ballot papers, one for the General Election and one for the Parish Council election.

Two of the seven member Parish Council are not seeking re-election and have stood down. They are Roy Gibbs and John Priestley. The remaining five are standing again and they are Gaynor Anning, Andrew Batty, Neil Ogden, Judith Pentith and Dan Warren. There are three new contenders being Becky Bailey, Granville Davies and Peter Lord.
