Beer Festival moves to August

East Keswick’s Annual Beer Festival is to move to the August Bank Holiday weekend.

The event used to run every October but moved to November last year for operational reasons. However, numbers were down and it was widely thought that the lateness in the year, with darker nights and proximinity to Christmas were all having an effect.

This year, the event will take place on Saturday 24th August and it remains to be seen if a very hot August day (we wish) will have an effect on people attracted and volumes consumed.

The event will follow the well used format of opening at 12noon and running until the beer runs out. In recent years, it has never run out do doors closed around 10pm. Live entertainment will feature as well as traditional pub food such as ‘pie and peas’. For non-beer drinkers lagers, wines and soft drinks are also made available.
