EK publican fined

The former pub supervisor of The Duke of Wellington appeared before Leeds Magistrates charged with serving under age drinkers. The court heard that West Yorkshire Trading Standards had carried out two test purchases. After the first, in December 2010, Pub Supervisor David Chapman was cautioned. When he served an underage drinker at a second test purchase the following month, prosecution followed. Magistrates fined him £850, issued a conditional discharge for six months and forfeited his personal alcohol licence for six months.

David Chapman no longer has any coonection with the pub which has had a new landlord since mid summer.
