Longest serving parish councillor on record bows out
The annual Parish Assembly, held on Tuesday 19th April, marked the last official duty for East Keswick Parish Council as Sylvia Pinkney retired after 29 years continuous service. Chairman John Priestley thanked her on behalf of the village for her long contribution, good humour, and good counsel over the years, some of them as Chairman or Deputy Chairman. Sylvia is the longest serving councillor in the history of East Keswick Parish Council and a special event to mark her retirement is being planned for later this Spring. Watch this website for details.
The meeting also noted the sad death of two previous councillors over the past year. Ralph Carr and Gordon Nutter sadly died recently.
