Parish Council seeking additional grit bins

The Parish Council is to buy further grit bins for the village in addition to the present ones owned and filled by Leeds City Council. A number of sites around the village have been considered for the new bins which the Parish Council will have to buy and pay to be restocked.

The village coped well in the sub zero temperatures of December but last winter the village proved difficult to get out of on certain days. With ten weeks of winter left, it was thought additional grit bins would be a prident idea.
