Beer festival delivers a healthy profit
The annual East Keswick Beer Festival has once again proven to be the most profitable event in the village fundraising calendar. When final accounts are completed and remaining sponsorship monies collected, the event is expected to show a profit in excess of two and a half thousand pounds.
The festival, held at the start of October, featured 23 different Yorkshire beers, live entertainment and traditional pub food. The beer flowed all evening for the first time in three years but there were relatively few evening visitors, probably because beer supplies had run out by 8pm in previous years.
