Computer training for beginners – Second open evening 30 Jul

The very fact that you are reading this on a PC or Mac suggests that you won't need this – but you may know someone who might. Do you know a computer luddite? Someone in the village who never got the opportunity to get to grips with the internet age but might be interested?

Thursday 30th July is an evening they should not miss. It could almost be subtitled 'Everything you wanted to know about IT but didn't know who to ask'. It follows hot on the heels of a very successful first open evening on July 9th

The Village Hall now has an IT suite with six computers and full wi-fi connectivity. It has plans to run a course for absolute beginners covering all the basics of computer operation, word processing, email and the internet. The best news is that the costs of the course will be very modest, since the lions share has been provided through a grant. An open evening on Thursday 9th July at 7.30pm is the opportunity to find out more, see the facilities, talk to a tutor and see if this sounds like fun.

If you know anyone in the village who thinks a mouse is only a furry rodent and a cursor is a foul-mouthed drunk then please tell them to come down. It really could change their life and you're never too old to learn.
