Beer Festival was a record breaker
The 2008 East Keswick Beer Festival is expected to surpass the previous best effort according to the Chairman of the Village Hall, Will Lifford. Profit has already reached £3600 and expected to climb above the £3644 achieved in 2006.
The event, like all community events, required the input of many villagers in numerous roles from serving pints to preparing food, assembling the bar to the strategic planning and Will would like to thank everyone for their involvement which created a great event and showed the village's genuine community spirit once again.
The monies raised will go towards new equipment for the Village Hall and in maintaining a community facility that is at the heart of village activity.
