The Duke of Wellington has a new beer garden, just in time for the Summer. A section of the car park close to Brooklands has been dug up and relaxed by patio paving, garden furniture and planters. Traditional five bar farm gates protect it from the main road.

It's all part of a major investment in the pub since Chris Atkin and Karen Hart took over earlier this year. New pub signage, external repainting, hanging baskets and floral planters plus a new menu have breathed new life into the long established and popular pub.

The Parish Council feels the village is fortunate to be able to support two thriving pubs and the Duke now appears to be on a much firmer footing than it has been for the previous decade. The recent improvements make for a very pleasant environment and a most attractive southern gateway to the village.
