This November, the Village Hall hostied its annual Wine 'Call my Bluff' night set around the rules to the popular radio series but where wine and cheese were the central players.

Each table was served an identical - but un-named - wine. Three top table speakers each then spoke for thirty seconds or so telling those present the attributes of the wine. However, only one was speaking the truth.

White wines featured were Prima Gusto Pinot Grigio, Porcupine Sauvignon, Otra Vida Viognier, Dona Dominga. Red wines were Mosaique, Quinta de Bons, Nepenthe Wine Thief and Casillero del Diablo. Cheeses to test palates were  Minstrel White English Cheddar, Ribblesdale Goats Cheese. Delice de Cremiers, Wensleydale, Cashel Blue, Snowdonian Cheddar and Cropwell Bishop Blue Stilton.
