The annual service of Remembrance took place Sunday 12th November 2017 at the War Memorial on Whitegate at 12 noon. This short service commemorates all those who died in conflict but especially East Keswick villagers. The First World war was to rob the village of one in seven of its able-bodied men, and WW2 took several more.

The service was read by The Chairman of East Keswick Parish Council, the representative of the British Legion, the Methodist Minister and the Deputy Lieutenant of West Yorkshire representing The Queen. Wreaths were laid by The Chairman of the Parish Council on behalf of the village, by the British Legion and by the Lord Lieutenant. Around sixty villagers attended
