Parish Councillors are investigating whether it might be possible to instate a footpath on the A659 Harewood Road between Cleavesty Lane and Crabtree Lane. In the past year it has come to light that sections of the verge on this route were owned by Leeds City Council for potential road widening. Parish Councillor Granville Davies has been investigating the feasibility of using such space for a footpath away from the edge of the road and it seems possible if funding could be found.

Such a footpath would connect two sections of the Ebor Way long distance path, however it would be necessary to cross the A659 at one point. Councillor Davies has been told the work would be expensive due to high verges and hedges and the likely £40k cost would be well outside the Parish Council's budget. Nevertheless the Parish Council is investigating a number of potential grant options.
