The bridleway from Crabtree Lane End to the river and Wood Hall footbridge is to close from Monday 30th January to allow major repairs to its surface. The route has suffered from a deep chasm down its centre caused by winter storms and heavy rain. The bridlepath is expected to remain closed until the end of March while Leeds Highways carries out repairs to level its surface.

The route connects with Wood Hall Bridge which was closed for two years until 2014 also as a result of winter storm damage. The route should be open in time for Spring as a popular walking route for villagers and visitors to cross the Wharfe valley to Sicklinghall.
