Faced with the prospect of her own children refusing healthy food, village mum Hayley Dodsworth co-authored a children's book, 'Emma Bright and the Super Food Fight'. Her own eldest daughter - Emma - was the inspiration when she began to refuse food at mealtimes. Hayley began to make up short stories about food and found it helped to convince young Emma to try a wider variety of foods. A course on nutrition with the Open University followed by a writing course resulted in this book, co-authored with villager Donna Harrison.

The book was launched at Bardsey Sports Club on Sunday 12th February. Following this and other publicity over 200 copies of the book were sold. the books are available from Setchfield Butchers on Main Street, Collingham Post Office and from the website www.thesuperfoodfight.co.uk
