A new Parish Councillor has been appointed to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Gaynor Anning in September. He is Granville Davies from The Grove. Granville has lived in the village for almost nine years. A graduate of Leeds University, he has been a full time engineering consultant for the past eighteen years, specialising on flood risk and water management. He is married and his two children attend Bardsey Primary School where he is a parent governor.

Granville had stood as a candidate in the last elections and the Parish Council used the powers it has to co-opt a person into a vacancy between elections. Commenting on the appointment, Chairman Andrew Batty said the choice of Granville was unanimous amongst all councillors. He continued 'Granville will add a fresh dimension to a successful team and we look forward to welcoming him onboard'.

The Parish Council meets on Tuesday 24th November for its last meeting before Christmas.
