No crime in East Keswick but there are mysteries to solve
West Yorkshire Police were able to report to February's Parish Council meeting that there were no crimes recorded in the village during January. Despite that, there are two mysteries in the village which the Police would like your help on.
Someone is intentionally damaging a specific car often parked on Whitegate or the bottom of Lumby Lane. Door mirrors have been intentionally damaged and eggs broken over the windscreen. These actions have usually taken place late at night.
A second mystery is obscene phone calls made to the 999 emergency operators which have been traced to the village phone box on Main Street, again late at night.
Have you seen anyone suspicious using the phone box late at night or anyone acting suspiciously near to a car at the above locations. if you have any information or suspicions please phone the police on 101 or the police at the Duke of wellington drop in events.
