If you weren't there, you missed the short Parish Walk, which was a huge success on a fine summer's evening recently. But you are still in time to join the longer Parish Walk, on Monday 19th July, leaving from outside St Mary Magdelene Church on Moor Lane.

These two Parish Walks are an annual fixture. Organised by the Parish Council, they provide an excellent opportunity to see your village and maybe discover footpath routes you hadn't known. A broad cross section of villagers often take part so it's a chance to make new contacts too.

The longer Parish Walk leaves the church on Moor Lane at 7pm and takes approx two hours. The route takes in the river meadows as we explore the northernmost boundary to the Parish. Some of those taking part reward themselves with a beer afterwards at one of the village pubs. You don't need to book, just turn up in appropriate footwear in case the group encounters mud and suitable outerwear for the evening. Everyone, of all ages, are welcome
