Leeds Highways - following constant lobbying by the Parish Council - have announced pklans to treat some village roads over the next few months.

Lumby Lane is to be retreaded in late June, which basically means reconstructing the top 75mm. Moor Lane is to be micro-asphalted at around the same time completing work started recently. Main Street, from the bridge to the white railings, is to be resurfaced in July and August once work on the collapsed drain near Lumby Garth is completed. The junction of Crabtree Lane with Harewood Road is to be investigated with a view as to whether larger capacity soakaways may improve matters.

The Parish Council had made strong representations to Leeds Highways, including requesting the attendance of a senior manager at a forthcoming council meeting. The plans announced above were an answer to those concerns.
