Remembrance Service & new Queen’s bench

Sunday 12th November at 1215pm sees the Annual Parish Council Remembrance Day service at the War memorial on Whitegate. Everyone is welcome at this short service to honour the memory of those villagers who gave their lives for their country in two World Wars.

The Deputy Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire will represent The King, the British Legion will be in attendance, the service will be given by the Vicar and the formalities led by the Chairman of the Parish Council, Andrew Batty who will lay a wreath on behalf of villagers.

You may also notice something new within the memorial garden. A new bench has recently been installed to honour the memory of HM Queen Elizabeth II.
